Total Pet Care is by far the best doggie daycare and kennel in the Sumter area. They take outstanding care of the pets and are wonderful to work with. I've been taking my dog to doggie daycare all over the country for 11 years and Total Pet Care is definitely the best.

We love total pet care! Our little dog loves it too. We board her at total pet care when we travel and use the day care service extensively. Highly recommend total pet care!!!

Our problem came when we brought our cocker spaniel into get groomed and they cut her but claimed that she had fleas so they only washed her with dish-soap and then up-charged the total bill to $75 because they, "don't accept animals with fleas." All the while ignorantly claiming that none of the animals they get (including outdoor animals) have fleas -- despite the plethora of animal-related news about 2012's horrific flea season due to the hottest weather on record. I called the owner to try and work out a solution and she maintained her position so we'll never be going there again. view short comment

My dog is almost 17. Belle LOVES to go to total pet care. Dove and her staff are excellent. I trust them 100%.

Steff- My Buddy Boarding at the SPCA are great. I have been boarding my babies there eversince we moved here 6 yrs ago and they are wonderful. The only downfall is that they are closed on Weds but other than that they are there throughout the week and on Sat.

I have boarded my dog with TPC a few times. Each time, the young girl is there, she does not listen to my care requests for my dog. I pay for the doggie suites every time, yet EVERY time I drop off or pick my dog up, the young girl dumps my dog in the main play area where all the large dogs are and lets all the dogs go into his room, drink the water and climb all over him. I have to board here because there aren't any other suitable options in Sumter but I have asked this person repeatedly not to have my dog play with larger dogs and I that would prefer he be left in his private room unless it is yard time or walk time. The young girl is not nice at all and actually laughed at me the last time I asked her not to dump my dog in with all the other large dogs. She said that she would only put him in with other small dogs when she had to but every time I go pick him up, he is not in his private room and is stuffed in behind the counter with at least 5-6 other dogs. Suggestion for the staff at Total Pet Care: LISTEN TO YOUR PAYING CUSTOMERS. When we pay for your services, all we really want you to do is provide the services you advertise and that we pay for. Kindness goes a long way and I always treat the staff with respect and courtesy. Sure with they would do the same for me and my littel dog. view short comment

Excellent place for your pets! I wouldn't trust anyone else to take care of my beagle when I am out of town.
